今天上午温总理举行了在任期间最后一次记者招待会，仍引用了一些古诗文，又是美女翻译张璐担当交传。 诗词翻译在口译中难度很高，光听懂汉语都不是件易事，何况翻译成准确的译文呢？膜拜那些高人。让我们一起来回顾、学习一下：


2003年温家宝总理答中外记者问

“生于忧患，死于安乐。要居安思危，有备无患。”

Oneprospers in worries and hardship, and perishes in ease and comfort. We willhave to be mindful of possible adversities and be prepared for the worst.

“苟利国家生死以，岂因祸福避趋之。”

I will dowhatever it takes to serve my country even at the cost of my own life,regardless of fortune or misfortune to myself.

“生财有道，生之者众，食之者寡，为之者疾，用之者抒。”

There aremany people who produce, there are very few people who consume, and people workvery hard to produce more financial wealth and people practice economy whenthey spend. In this way, wealth is accumulated.




2004年温家宝总理答中外记者问

“雄关漫道真如铁，而今迈步从头越；路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索。”
The strong pass of the enemy is like a wall of iron,yet with firm strides, we are conquering its summit. My way ahead is long; Isee no ending; yet high and low I’ll search with my will unbending.

“安不忘危，治不忘乱。”

Insecurity, we should never forget the dangers and in times of peace, we shouldalways beware of the potential for chaos.




2005年温家宝总理答中外记者问

“居安思危，思则有备，有备无患。”

We mustbe sober-minded, cautious, prudent especially when the situation is getting alittle better.

“一尺布尚可缝，一斗粟尚可舂，同胞兄弟何不容？”

Even afoot of cloth can be stitched up; even a kilo of millet can be ground. How cantwo blood brothers not make up?

“行百里者半九十。”

If ajourney is 100 miles, travelling 90 is half of it.




2006年温家宝总理答中外记者问

“危则安，思所以乱则治，思所以亡则存。”

To thinkabout where danger looms will ensure our security; to think about why chaosoccurs will ensure our peace; and to think about why a country falls willensure our survival.

“得道者多助，失道者寡助。”

A justcause enjoys abundant support, while an unjust one finds little support.




2007年温家宝总理答中外记者问

“召远在修近，闭祸在除怨。”

To windistant friends, one needs, first of all, to have good relations with his neighbors.To avoid adversity, one needs to ease animosity.

“去问开化的大地，去问解冻的河流。”

Go andask the thawing land, go and ask the thawing river.

“沉舟侧畔千帆过，病树前头万木春。”

A thousandsails pass by the wrecked ship; ten thousand saplings shoot up beyond thewithered tree.

2008年温家宝总理答中外记者问

“天变不足畏，祖宗不足法，人言不足恤。”

One shouldnot fear changes under the heaven and one should not blindly follow oldconventions and one should not be deterred by complaints of others.

“民之所忧，我之所思；民之所思，我之所行。”
What people are concerned about preoccupies my mind, and what preoccupiespeople’s mind is what I need to address.

“一心中国梦、万古下泉诗。”

We havealways longed to see a reunified China, as this is reflected in the old odeXiaquan shared by all our people in this country.




“度尽劫波兄弟在，相逢一笑泯恩仇。”
We remain brothers after all the vicissitudes, let’s forget our old grudgeswhen smiling we meet again.


“周虽旧邦，其命惟新。”

AlthoughZhou was an ancient state, it had a reform mission.




“如将不尽，与古为新。”

Onlyinnovation could ensure the growth and vitality of a nation.




2009年温家宝总理答中外记者问


“莫道今年春将尽，明年春色倍还人”

Do notregret that spring is departing. Come next year as it will be twice asenchanting.

“乞火不若取燧，寄汲不若凿井。”

We wouldbetter fetch a flint than beg for light; we would better dig a well ourselvesthan beg for water from others.

“山重水复疑无路，柳暗花明又一村。”

Afterencountering all kinds of difficulties and experiencing all kinds of hardships,at the end of the day we will see light at the end of tunnel.

“行百里者半九十。”

Half ofthe people who have embarked on a one hundred mile journey may fall by the wayside.




“华山再高，顶有过路。”

No matterhow high the mountain is, one can always ascend to its top.




“亦余心之所向兮，虽九死其尤未悔。”

For theideal that I hold dear to my heart, I’d not regret a thousand times to die.




“人或加讪，心无疵兮。”

Myconscience stays untainted in spite of rumors and slanders from the outside.




“兄弟虽有小忿，不废懿亲。”

Differencesbetween brothers cannot sever their blood ties.




2011年温家宝总理答中外记者问





“政如农工，日夜思之，思其始而成其终。”

I do myjob as diligently as a farmer attends to his field. I have it on my mind dayand night. I work for a thoroughplanning from the start. And I’m determined to carry it through to a successfulend.




“骨肉之亲，析而不殊。”

Nothingcan sever the blood ties of brothers.




“忧国不谋身。”

I always havethe interests of the country in my mind and pursue no personal gains.




“如将不尽，与古为新。”

Only reformensures continuous existence and growth.




“国之命，在人心。”

Thehearts of the people are the life of the country.




“事非经过不知难。”

One cannotfully appreciate the difficulty unless he has experienced it in person.




2012年温家宝总理答中外记者问





我将在最后一年“守职而不废，处义而不回”，永远和人民在一起。
In my last year in office, I will not waiver and carryout my duties, and will remain true to my conviction.




“入则恳恳以尽忠，出则谦谦以自悔。”

Goes officials should serve as loyal asthey can conscientiously when they are in office and engage in modestself-reflection when their terms end.




我秉承“苟利国家生死以，岂因祸福避趋之”的信念。

In line with the conviction that I will dowhatever it takes to serve my country even at the cost of my own life,regardless of fortune or misfortune to myself.




“知我罪我，其惟春秋。”

There are people who will appreciate what Ihave done but there are also people who will criticize me.




“精诚所致，金石为开。”

With utmost sincerity, no difficulty is insurmountable.




“情天再补虽无术，缺月重圆会有时。”



There is no way to mend the heal in myheart, but there will be a day when the half moon becomes full again.




“寸寸河山寸寸金。”

Every inch of the rivers and mountains ofthe land is as precious as gold.




“我虽不能至，但心向往之。”

I wish that I could have been able to goand see for myself.




在我担任总理期间，确实“谣诼”不断。

During my term of office as the premier, therehave been some slanders about me.




“信而见疑、忠而被谤。”

A man of integrity and loyalty has been questioned and wronged.




“人言不足恤。”

One should not fear the rumours and slanders from others.
